Syecomp Ghana

Syecomp Ghana is a technology driven, social impact Geospatial Mapping Company incorporated in Ghana since 2009. We deploy innovative ICT tools and geospatial solutions, research and knowledge management to provide a range of value-added services in sub-saharan Africa. Syecomp specializes in the acquisition, processing, analysis and synthesis of Geospatial data for various applications. We deploy optical and radar satellite monitoring and field-based mapping systems for commercial activities in Ghana involving land-use monitoring, environmental and natural resource management using Remote Sensing and GIS technologies. Ournoperational presence is in Ghana and Kenya.

Project Description

Syecomp is implementing a product, MFarmPay which leverages on remote sensing satellite data, demographic data, environmental data, farm data and analytic capabilities to generate alternative credit assessments for financial institutions in Ghana.

Key Innovations

mfarmPay scientifically and innovatively address smallholder farmers' credit risk assessment, establish farmers‘ geo-data portal, and provides bundled satellite-derived crop, water, and weather information advisories. Our Farmer Helpline Service: 0500000996 serves as central node for agronomic information relay using multiple on-demand simple channels: SMS, Voice, and USSD. Syecomp has complete ownership of the developed farmers' geodata portal which is an essential feature in mfarmPay enabling the company deploy machine learning approaches to developing the credit scorecard. We generate farmer registries that enable direct delivery of relevant products and services. Our technology connects farmer information to geospatial data and models to improve direct farmer engagement and the level of services they receive to improve farm profitability.
