Musoni is a microfinance institution with a strong focus on mobile technology to manage its business. Musoni has three main streams of services: group loans, individual loans and agricultural loans. Since its inception in 2010, Musoni has disbursed over 132,000 loans worth KES 38 million across 7 counties in Kenya.
Project Description
Musoni is scaling Kilimo Booster, a 100% mobile-based agricultural loan product designed to enable smallholders to access affordable working capital, invest in assets, diversify and add value to their enterprises, and gain financial and business skills.
Key Areas of Scale
With FRP support, Musoni plans to scale Kilimo Booster to 14 rural locations, raise awareness and demand, grow client and staff capacity, embed Kilimo Booster's delivery into Kenya's agricultural sector to open new opportunities to clients, and prove a replicable model for rural agricultural finance delivery.
